Malvasia delle Lipari PDO

Location: Sicily

Composition: Malvasia delle Lipari 95%, Corinto 5%

Characteristics:

1. Appearance: A brilliant golden yellow wine.

2. Nose: Complex olfactory notes of ripe apricot, figs, elderberries and raisins with hints of Mediterranean scrub.

3. Palate: The taste has a great balance between sweetness and acidity that make this wine pleasantly fresh and never  redundant.

Malvasia di Bosa PDO

Location: Sardinia

Composition: Minimum of 95% Malvasia di Sardegna,  maximum 5% other suitable white varieties of Sardinian cultivation

Characteristics:

1. Appearance: Straw or golden-yellow colour.

2. Smell: The nose opens with complex fragrances of ripe white fruity notes and floral sensations, blending with traces of antique wood, dried fruit and balsamic hints.

3. Taste: It is dry and smooth on the palate, with a background of almond and roasted hazelnuts.

Malvasia di Casorzo d’ Asti PDO

Malvasia di Casorzo / Casorzo

Location: Asti, Casorzo

Composition: Malvasia di Casorzo (90-100%) with the permitted addition of Freisa and / or Grignolino and Barbera and / or local aromatic grapes (0-10%).

Characteristics:

1. Appearance: Malvasia di Casorzo has a color which varies from pink (known as Cerasuolo) to ruby red.

2. Smell: The scent is distinctive and characteristic.

3. Taste:  The taste is sweet, slightly aromatic, soft and characteristic.

There is also a fully sparkling Malvasia di Casorzo Spumante, which is more or less intense pink color. It has an aromatic and distinctive aroma and a sweet, slightly aromatic taste that is soft and characteristic. The minimum alcohol content is 11%, with 4% residual sugar.

Finally, an interesting Malvasia di Casorzo Passito is also available, made from dried grapes. The color is dark ruby red and has an intense, complex and distinctive aroma and a sweet, soft and also distinctive flavor.

Malvasia di Castelnuovo Don Bosco PDO

Location: Monferrato

Composition: 

Characteristics:

1. Appearance: Light cherry red color.

2. Nose: Characteristic aromas with pleasant notes of blackberry and blackberry.

3. Taste: Fresh, sweet, with persistent foam, with a strong varietal aroma of the grape of origin.
