Emanuela Panke is an international expert in cultural tourism, wine and gastronomic heritage, sustainable territorial development and international cooperation, with over 25 years of professional experience.
She holds a degree in Communication Sciences from Sapienza University of Rome and a master's degree in Agricultural Product Marketing from the University of Siena.
Her professional career includes serving as Deputy Director of the Italian National Association of Wine Cities (Città del Vino) and coordinating international wine promotion programmes for Unione Italiana Vini.
Actively involved in Iter Vitis since 2007, she served as Secretary General till 2016, when she became President of the European Federation. Under her leadership, Iter Vitis has become one of Europe’s leading platforms for the promotion of European wine heritage, international cultural cooperation, and sustainable wine tourism across more than twenty-five countries involved in the cultural routes.
Since 2020, she is recognised as an Expert for IGCAT - International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts, and Tourism, and was named an IGCAT Honorary Ambassador in 2025.
She has coordinated numerous European and international projects focusing on cultural routes, rural development, heritage preservation, place branding, and the relationship between cultural identity and sustainable tourism.
A writer, curator, and international speaker, Emanuela Panke is the author of numerous articles, scientific contributions, and outreach publications.
